TURQUOISE EFFECT TEARDROP CABOCOHON C149

This cabochon has been decorated with a deep pooling glaze called Italian Blue. It crawls only on this particular type of clay, which allows the black to be added after firing (then refired) giving the look of turquoise. I love how this glaze comes out - the combination of matt and high gloss areas makes it very striking.

It has a flat back (unglazed), so would be suitable either for beading around or you could just add a simple bail and wear it as a stunning stand alone piece. It is approximately 39mm x 29mm and 11mm thick.
