RAKU EFFECT CIRCLES BEAD FB028

A very time consuming bead but so much fun to make! First the lines were etched in to the clay before firing. After firing the bead was coated in black underglaze then sanded back to reveal the black lines. These lines were then covered with a wide band of latex and the spaces coated with clear and blue crackle glazes. After peeling off the latex to reveal matt areas the bead was fired again.

This bead is approximately 30mm in diameter. The hole is large enough for a 2mm cord.
