WHAT IS THE HUMMOCK ?

The hummock is an extinct volcano, that once erupted to give Bargara surrounds it's unique lava rock that can be discovered up to 4km out to sea!

Originaly settled on, the Eastern side boasts more of the original larger properties that take the most advantage of the sun, moon rise and views, and have very little traffic.

The top of The Hummock has 360° views of Bundaberg, and the Bargara Coral Coast, and is the highest point in the Bundy area.

WHY ARE YOU SELLING?

We have enjoyed 6 years here, and especialy loved entertaining friends over those years in such a wonderful environment. It's a huge home for just two people! We feel fully spoilt, and are by now ready to move on to other adventures within a new area. It is hard for us to leave such a property, we wish we could take it with us!

WHERE IS THE HUMMOCK ?

Directly between Bundaberg (9km) and Bargara (4km) on the Bargara Rd, look for 'The Hummock Lookout' tourist signs. You can drive right up to the top, it's a short walk from the house, there are wooded walkways. The Hummock is practicaly the only hill in Bundy district, and can be seen from the main bridge in Bundaberg, as well as various other points.

MORE ABOUT THE HOUSE ?

Built in the 1970's, by a professional self builder, using solid materials. Double brick walls, steel supports and steel garage doors. Has been modernised internally although the original kitchen and bathroom remains. The home is very open planned, with one room sweeping to the next. It is possible to view over 18m in a direct line from dining to lounge, however the built in bar area, and half walls, give the home a cosy feel amongst bright vibrant coloured walls. The house is approx 32squares (312sqm).

HOW'S THE LIFESTYLE ?

The home is relaxed, quiet, and gives you great views wherever you wish to sit next. We are creative people and use the bottom floor as studio space, and the top floor for living and working from home. Friends pop round for a game of pool and a homebrew beer from the bar.We have regular gatherings to make the most of the socialy friendly environment. We can pop to Bargara beaches just 4km down the road. We food shop at IGA or Woolworths on the way into Bargara, or The Hummock Farm Shop for organic veggies. We are just 9km from the centre of Bundaberg which offers all shops.
