The Bargara Uniting Church Car Boot Sale is held every 2nd Saturday Bi Monthly from March to November. (next one is 9th July). Plenty of stalls and a sausage sizzle, set in tranquil gardens, make this a great Saturday morning outing. Stallholders contact 41592973

'C' Bargara was opened by Mayor Ray Duffy on Anzac Sunday, with developers Cabe providing free entertainment for all in the main street of Bargara which was closed off to traffic for the day.

A huge crowd enjoyed a free sausage sizzle whilst viewing the new development, and children revelled in the 'C' Bargara swimming pool as well as free slide rides and bouncy castles.

In support of the Leukaemia Foundation, the event was a great success and will hopefully pave the way for more of its' kind.
The Bargara Hotel Pool Comp was a success once again.
Started in Sept '04, the comp has continued to grow. The popularity of the weekly event is so much that some people miss out on the 32 places available. Organiser Matty (pictured top right), said, "you really have to be at the hotel before 6.30pm if you want to enter the competition, it's become a focal point of the week and everyone loves the intense yet friendly atmosphere. Even non players are having a great time, the crowd is loving it more each week" The comp has a $4 entry fee and a top prize of $100.

Players such as Jack, (pictured left), have enjoyed success in the comp, but mostly he enjoys the respectful rivalry with fellow players, such as previous weeks winner Dave (pictured right). "We welcome all players to come and join us for a fun evening. It's a tough comp, but anyone can win on the night", he said.

Couple Michael and Susan, (right), hedge their bets by both taking part in the comp, with Susan recently making the semi-finals. Michael bemoaned, "I taught her a few tricks and now she comes along and beats me"

The comp is held every Thursday night, and the Hotel welcomes visitors and locals alike to come and enjoy the evening.

HITZ-FM Farewell to Summer Party - Nielsons Beach 27 Feb 2005

Over 500 people turned out for the Farewell to Summer party to enjoy the HitzFM Roadshow.

Live entertainment, Food Stalls, Rides and Demonstrations gave the crowd plenty to see and do in between enjoying the beach, BBQ and play facilities, topped off with a stunning fireworks display.
